About Us
Stolin Embrace, “Bernie,” was a 2015 sorrel mare, who gave me my first glimpse into the true talent and ability of equine athletes. She was the first horse I rode that wanted to win as much as I did. Though she wasn’t always the easiest to ride, Bernie layed her entire heart out in the arena, every single run. She was the kind of mare to help make all my dreams in the arena come true.
On the morning of May 25th, 2023, Bernie was put down. Sometime that night, she had suffered a blow to her back right leg, splitting it in two. I had planned to take Bernie into the vet’s office at 8:30 that morning to be bred, and instead, the vet came out to euthanize her.
Because of her heart, talent, and ability, Bernie deserved to have made it to the big stages of barrel racing. It is my dream to let Bernie live on through others lives, whether that be inside or out of the arena. With Stolin Embrace Designs, Bernie’s legacy lives on.
